Plans

To access Plans, navigate to Recommendations in your workspace and click the Plans tab.

Plans let you generate comprehensive modernization plans powered by Archie. Describe your priorities, constraints, timeframe, and business goals, and Archie will analyze your architecture and recommendations to produce a structured plan.

Creating a Plan

Plans let you organize and prioritize your recommendations into actionable roadmaps. You can generate a plan using AI or build one manually.

To create a plan:

  1. Navigate to the Plans tab within the Recommendations tab.
  2. Click + New Plan.
  1. Select AI Plan or Manual Plan.

AI Plan

AI Plan uses Archie to generate a structured plan based on your goals. Describe what you want to improve, optimize, or build, and Archie will analyze your architecture and produce targeted recommendations organized into a plan.

  1. Enter a description of your goals in the prompt field. For best results, include priorities, constraints, timeframe, and business goals.
  2. Set the Scope to target a specific area or your full architecture.
  3. Set the Focus to narrow by domain or select All.
  4. Click Generate.

Archie will analyze your environment and generate a plan with targeted recommendations. Generated plans are saved under the Plans tab for ongoing reference.

After clicking Generate, you should see this landing page:

Manual Plan

Manual Plan creates an empty plan where you hand-pick the recommendations to include.

  1. Enter a Name for your plan.
  2. Add a Description (optional) to note what the plan is for.
  3. Set the Scope (optional) to target a specific area or keep the default of Full Architecture.
  4. Click Create List.

After you click Create List, you should see this landing page:


Once created, you can browse your recommendations and add them to the plan individually.
